Je suis une grande mère de 85 ans, née en Angleterre, et vivant en France depuis plus de 50 ans. Pendant la guerre, avec ma mère, nous avons du fuir le sud du Devon où nous vivons près de la mer, et nous somme allées à Woolacombe, sur le côté atlantique. C'ètait juste le moment où des centaines de jeunes américains sont venus s'entrainer pour le débarquement en Normandie ! J'avais 4 -5 ans et j'ai de souvenirs très forts de bruits, des tanks, de la musique militaire, et surtout de la gentilesse de ces jeunes hommes, envers nous, les petits enfants......beaucoup qui étaient dèstinés malheureusement à Omaha Beach ! L'un deux m'a fabriqué un cheval en bois, que j'ai gardè précieusement depuis ! J'aimerai bien vous envoyer une image de lui.......simplement pour célébrer leur mèmoire. Susan Cerezo
